Support Specialist
 

Position Number: 3072
 

Responsibilities:
Provides quality care, training, support and supervision to individuals with developmental disabilities in a community-based or center-based program. Hours of the program may include weekdays, weekends, and evenings.  Monitors and maintains the safety and wellness of individuals. Provides a wide array of activities and experiences that will enhance the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities. Provides recreation and socialization to individuals in a variety of community settings. Provides transportation for community activities. Maintains Individual records and documentation according to all applicable standards.

 

Requirements:
Minimum Requirements
 
M1:
  High school diploma or equivalent.
M2:
  Physically able to push wheelchair, assist with transfers, and be on your feet for extended periods of time.
M3:
 
Valid drivers’ license and safe driving record
M4:
  Experience working with individuals with developmental disability and/or a mental illness. 

Preferred Requirements
P1:
  Experience with providing personal care.
P2:
  Experience with documentation/paperwork.
P3:
  CPR and/or First Aid and Medication Training and/or Therapeutic Options. 

Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry (CANIS) report will be required upon request.
 

ANNUAL SALARY RANGE:
$24,185 to $38,090.  Excellent fringe benefits.
