Position Number: 4001

Responsibilities: Conduct clinical evaluations for determining current mental status and medication needs for Adult populations; prescribe medication and follow individuals for medication monitoring and adjustments; participate in staff meetings as required; formal written or electronic entry in individual records following Agency and Division policy; preparation of letters or forms for insurance companies and other agencies in a timely fashion; and enter into a practice agreement with any nurse practitioner employed by or under contract with the Agency.

Requirements: Doctor of Medicine from an accredited medical school required.  Virginia Medical License, or licensed within six months of hire date, required.  Board Certified/Board Eligible in Adult Psychiatry preferred.  Fingerprinting, FBI and State criminal record checks, drug testing, and CANIS report will be required upon request.

ANNUAL SALARY RANGE: Hourly Contract
