Emergency Services Coordinator

 

Position Number: 4035
 

Responsibilities:
Provides clinical and administrative supervision to the Emergency Services Unit; develops and implements 24 hour/7 day week staff schedules; assists with case dispositions; serves as emergency services liaison to state and private psychiatric facilities, hospital emergency rooms, police, courts, and other community agencies; compiles detailed program reports; maintains medical record documentation and oversees compliance with regulations; provides face to face and telephone crisis intervention, diagnostic evaluations, and assessment of treatment needs, pre-admission screenings, and attendance at committal hearings.  Rotates on-call responsibilities with other program managers to provide administrative back-up for programs offered through the Behavioral Health Services Division.

 

Requirements:
Minimum Requirements
 
M1:
  Master’s degree from a program that prepares one to seek professional licensure as a counselor, social worker or psychologist.  Successful completion of the graduate level coursework required from the licensing board to begin licensure supervision must be documented on the graduate counseling degree transcript.
M2:
  Minimum two years’ experience working in emergency services or with persons with serious mental illness to include crisis intervention.
M3:
  Valid driver’s license.
M4: 
Must be able to obtain professional licensure as a counselor, social worker, or psychologist within three years of hire required.

Preferred Requirements
P1:
  Virginia license as a LCSW, LPC, or LCP.
P2:
 Management experience.

Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry (CANIS) report will be required upon request.

 

ANNUAL SALARY RANGE:
$45,740 - $72,040 with 10% increase for licensure.  Excellent fringe benefits.
