PACT - Nurse Manager

 

Position Number: 4238

 

Responsibilities:
Assists in ensuring day-to-day operations of the PACT program; responsible for staff training including supervision, selection, performance evaluations, and discipline to select PACT team members; conducts psychiatric assessments; assesses physical health needs; makes appropriate referrals to community physicians; provides management and administration of medication in conjunction with the psychiatrist; provides a range of treatment, rehabilitation, and support services; shares shift-management responsibilities with other staff; provides direct case management services to individuals; conducts medication education; performs necessary documentation; assists individuals with weekly medication bag/box fills;  delivers medications to the homes of individuals per morning/evening medication runs on a rotating basis; participates in on-call rotation; assumes the role of team leader in the absence of the PACT Coordinator.

 

Requirements:
Minimum Requirements
 
M1:
  Successful completion of education requirements for a Registered Nurse with a valid RN license to practice in VA required.
M2:
  At least two years’ experience providing mental health services
M3:
  Crisis intervention experience required.
M4:
  Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required. 

Preferred Requirements
P1:
  At least one year of experience working with seriously mentally ill individuals preferred.
P2:
  Clinical supervisory experience preferred.

Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry (CANIS) report will be required upon request.

ANNUAL SALARY RANGE:
$47,913 - $75,464.  Excellent fringe benefits.  $5000 sign on bonus.
