Children’s Support Services Coordinator
Position Number: 4255
Provides program leadership and staff supervision; coordinates program activities and distribution of duties; oversees compliance with regulations; provides direct services to individuals; compiles program reports; monitors program effectiveness in terms of service provision and fiscal accountability; participates as a Children’s Support Services Team member; maintains medical record documentation; serves as backup to Children’s Support Services staff, provides education, support and consultations to families, caregivers, other agencies and the community regarding the behavioral health needs of children.
Masters’ degree in Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work that includes coursework for licensure by the Virginia Department of Health Professions as a Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licenses Substance Abuse Practitioner in Virginia required. Successful completion of the graduate level coursework required from the licensing board to begin licensure supervision must be documented on the graduate counseling degree transcript and provided upon request.
Two years’ experience in a mental health or substance abuse service position required.
Valid Drivers’ license and safe
driving record required.
Virginia license or licensed eligible as a Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Substance Abuse Practitioner preferred. If licensed eligible, must be approved and registered with the appropriate board for licensure supervision as an LPC, LCSW, or LCP within six months of hire.
Must have, or be eligible to obtain, certification as a pre-screener for emergency hospitalization in Virginia within six months or hire.
State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central
registry (CANIS) report will be required upon request.
$43,560 - $68,608
15% Increase for Licensure
7% Increase for Resident/Supervisee
