Alpha Counselor

 

Position Number: 4319

 

Responsibilities:
Provides services for individuals who are identified or have the potential for mental illness and/or substance abuse. Services include, but are not limited to, screenings, intakes and orientations; assessments, counseling, developing and monitoring treatment plans; case management education; report and recordkeeping in accordance with regulations; crisis intervention and outreach services; consultation with other professionals and referrals; maintaining current knowledge; maintaining individuals confidentiality; and performing other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:
Minimum Requirements
 
M1:
  Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling, related Human Services, Criminal Justice, or Sociology field
M2:
  Valid Driver’s license and safe driving record

Preferred Requirements
P1:
  Master’s Degree in Counseling or related Human Services field
P2:
  One year experience in the provision of services to individuals with mental illness and/or substance abuse issues
P3
:  Knowledge of the criminal justice and court system and ability to provide services in the jail setting

Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry (CANIS) report will be required upon request.

ANNUAL SALARY RANGE:
$34,252 - $53,948.  Excellent fringe benefits
