The Human Resources Division is
responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of
the Agency's human resources programs, including recruitment,
retention, employee relations, compensation, performance,
management, and benefits. In addition, the Human Resources Division
is responsible for the maintenance of the building and grounds at
the 245 Hairston Street office site and the Agency's fleet of

The Assistant Director of Human
Resources is responsible for the recruitment and retention of
employees, administering employee benefits, and providing training
and guidance to top management, supervisors, and employees.

The Human Resources Generalist is
responsible for the maintenance of the building and grounds, alarm
system, and phone system at 245 Hairston Street; providing
administrative support to the Director of Human Resources; assist
with administering the Agency's worker's compensation program and
other benefits; and providing training to employees and supervisors
on human resource related topics.

The Fleet Manager oversees the
Vehicle Service Center located on 426 Newton Street and is
responsible for the maintenance and safety of vehicles owned or
leased by the Agency.

considered for an available position, a completed DPCS
employment application is required. Applications are accepted during
normal office hours (Monday-Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM), or mailed
to DPCS, Attention: Human Resources, 245 Hairston Street,
Danville, Virginia 24540.

Your application must indicate a
position title and position number in order to be
accepted. If you do not know the position title or number,
click HERE. Your application will be given consideration for
the position title and number indicated on your
application. Photocopied applications with original
signature will be accepted for multiple jobs for which you are
applying. All applications must be received no later than 5:00 PM on the
deadline date for the position advertised. DPCS cannot
consider unsolicited applications or applications received after
the closing date for a posted position.
