Adult and Youth Clinician - Contract


Position Number: 4243 

Provides individual therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families; provides clinical assessments, evaluations, and intakes and develops the treatment plans; maintains regular consultation with the courts, schools, social services and other community agencies; provides emergency services and crisis intervention as needed.  Maintains individual record documentation.


Minimum Requirements
  Master’s degree in Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work that includes coursework for licensure by the Virginia Department of Health Professions as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner in Virginia required.  Successful completion of the graduate level coursework required from the licensing board to begin licensure supervision/residency must be documented on the graduate degree transcript and provided upon request.
  One year experience in mental health and/or substance abuse services with children, adolescents or adults required.
Valid driver’s license required.
  Virginia licensed as LPC, LCSW, LCP, or LSATP required for external applicants.
  Must be approved and registered with the appropriate board for licensure supervision as an LPC, LCSW, LCP, or LSATP within six months of hire – required for internal applicant.
Must obtain professional licensure as an LPC, LCSW, LCP, or LSATP in Virginia within six months of completing supervision/residency – required for internal applicant.

Preferred Requirements
  Virginia licensed as LPC, LCSW, LCP, or LSATP preferred for internal applicants.

Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry (CANIS) report will be required upon request.
