About Developmental Services

The Developmental Services Division provides a system of supports and services that assists citizens of Danville and Pittsylvania County with developmental disability in having the same opportunities and choices as other members of the community in the following areas:

  • to have a home

  • to learn skills which are useful to their lives and careers

  • to work

  • to develop and sustain relationships with people who depend on them and upon whom they can depend
