Early Childhood Services

Part C Early Intervention provides a full range of services for infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities and their families. Services aim to provide formal and informal support to meet the outcomes identified by families for their children. Our specific goal is to assist parents in meeting the unique developmental needs of each child. We provide outreach, coordinate services, and make referrals in the community as needed.

Service Coordination

Each family is assigned a Service Coordinator who ensures that services provided to their child and his/her family best meet their needs.  Service coordination is provided at no cost to the family.

Developmental Screenings and Assessments

Each child will receive a developmental screening and/or assessment to evaluate his or her developmental levels in five areas of skill:  cognitive, communication, social or emotional, physical, and adaptive.  Initial screenings and assessments will be provided at no cost to the family.

Specialized Services

Part C infants and families will receive the appropriate services determined through an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) to help promote developmental progress.  Based on the child's and family's needs, the following services may be provided by local agencies:

  • Developmental Services
